ST ROSE OF LIMA

"When we serve the poor and the sick, we serve Jesus. We must not fail to help our neighbors because in them we serve Jesus."

ST MARTIN DE PORRES

“Everything, even sweeping, scraping vegetables, weeding a garden and waiting on the sick could be a prayer, if it were offered to God.”

ST JUAN MACIAS
"People should never see a need and do nothing to help"

St Hyacinth pc.JPG

Saint Hyacinth
Lover of Mary and the Eucharist

When fierce Tartars sacked the town, as he finished Mass & without waiting to unvest, he took the ciborium in his hands, and was fleeing the church & as he passed by an image of Mary he heard a voice say, “Hyacinth, my son, why dost thou leave me behind? Take me with thee and leave me not to mine enemies.” Although the statue was heavy alabaster, when Hyacinth took it in his arms, it was light as a reed. With the Blessed Sacrament and the image of Mary he came to the river, and walked over the surface of the waters.-
